Don’t just take my word for it!
Now that you have, hopefully, looked through my pages reading my opinion about how magical, personal and fun Humanist wedding ceremonies can be, why don’t you check out what some of my couples have said?
Aaah, we couldn’t praise Gitte highly enough! She’s a warm and wonderful person - the best starting point. She’s also a brilliant, sensitive celebrant. With Gitte we got a ceremony that reflected us rather than follow convention for the sake of it. Gitte guided us by suggesting different elements that we would never have thought of ourselves, and gave us space to choose and adapt. We went for a “ring warming”, an inclusive ritual infused with the love of all our friends and family present. Ask Gitte if you’re intrigued! The story Gitte told of us as a couple was joyous but not sentimental, with just the right amount of humour and drama. It was properly entertaining, and very “us”! Although we worked with Gitte on the script there were some lovely surprise elements. The whole ceremony was well structured, so we always felt in safe hands, but at the same time was relaxed and celebratory. A family member commented that “usually at weddings you’re waiting for the service to end before the fun part begins, but with your wedding the service was part of the fun too.” High praise! We are hugely grateful to Gitte for creating such a special occasion for us and recommend her wholeheartedly.

“Gitte was 1000% the right celebrant for us! Before we found her, we were thinking of getting a friend to officiate, but we couldn’t figure out how to get it to work in a way that would be emotional and personal. Gitte spent a four hour session with us (and my parents) and crafted a ceremony that was was unique, personal, moving and fun. She brought so many ideas to the table and involved some of our nearest and dearest in the telling of our story.
On the day Gitte built the atmosphere and anticipation among our wedding party and created a perfect start to the whole day. She was also incredibly professional - 30 mins before the ceremony we had to move it inside due to rain. She led the change and executed the whole thing perfectly despite the last minute changes. So many of our guests commented on the uniqueness of the ceremony and how moving and celebratory it was.
Like Gitte, my partner is also Danish and so having Gitte as a celebrant speaking the two languages really made my partner’s family feel at home.

Gitte is a wonderful human being and a fabulous celebrant. She transformed our wedding ceremony - and the whole day, really - into the most joyous, personal, meaningful event we could ever have wished for. Everybody commented on how special the ceremony was, especially the handfasting.
Gitte took lots of time getting to know us before the big day, and managed to weave our complicated life journeys towards one another into a shape that made sense to the crowd. The whole experience was really grounding and reaffirming. She has a beautiful warm energy and a gentle humour that immediately put us, and all of our guests, at ease.

Gitte did a fantastic job with our wedding. She took a lot of time to discuss with us and also family and friends pre wedding and then sent us a script for the day which went really well. She came for a run through the day before and was happy to travel quite a long way journey to be with us.

“Gitte was the perfect celebrant for us. She put so much thought into the whole process from the beginning until the end. We had quite a clear idea of what we wanted before we found her, and she brought some wonderful new additions to our ceremony without there ever being any pressure to take up any of her suggestions.
